Moving up the income ladder; building assets from 0 to 1.
When Josephine received her first piglet through Seven Wells, it was worth about $50. To her, it was worth far more. It was a starting point, and she treated it that way.
She raised that piglet with care, and within a year one pig became several. She sold responsibly, reinvested, and bought a cow. The cow led to land, and the land now grows food that feeds her family. What began as a single asset has become a working farm, a steady income, and school fees paid on time for her children.
Josephine also repaid into the Fund, which means her progress is already helping another family in her community begin their own journey.
“I started with one piglet. Within a year, I had pigs, then a cow, then land to grow food. My family’s future has changed-” Josephine, Kiboga District, Uganda
