Your child stays in the program
Support continues through the completion of their studies. Nothing about their care, funding, or enrollment changes.
Letters and updates continue
You’ll keep receiving updates, letters, and photos. The personal connection that makes sponsorship meaningful stays intact.
Your monthly gift stays at $45
No increase, no adjustment, no disruption. Your $45 CAD commitment is honored exactly as it stands.
Sponsorship until graduation
Your support continues until your child completes their studies, or until you’re no longer able to sponsor.

Over two decades, Seven Wells has helped thousands of children access education across Rwanda and Uganda. Many have graduated and are now teachers, nurses, pastors, business owners, and parents. That is your legacy.
Along the way, we learned something: a child’s future is inseparable from their family’s strength. When a family can earn its own income, every child in that home benefits. That is why new giving now flows to the Family Empowerment Fund — while every existing sponsorship is honored to completion.

As the Family Empowerment Fund grows, our hope is to welcome the families of sponsored children into it — so that the child you support gains not only an education but also a household with the means to provide for years to come. We’re working toward this, one community at a time, and we’d love your help to reach more families faster.

If you’d like to deepen your impact, consider giving to the Family Empowerment Fund, which supports the families of children just like the one you sponsor. A gift of $50 or more can equip a whole family with a revenue-generating asset and start a cycle that keeps giving, family after family.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Seven Wells making this change?
After more than 20 years, we’ve learned that lasting transformation happens at the family level. When a family owns a productive asset and earns its own income, every child benefits. The Family Empowerment Fund lets us multiply that impact.
Can I still sponsor a new child?
We’re no longer enrolling new individual sponsorships. Existing sponsorships are fully honored. To deepen your impact, we invite you to give to the Family Empowerment Fund, which supports the families of children just like yours.
Will my sponsored child still benefit?
Yes. Your child continues to receive everything they’re enrolled for. And as family empowerment reaches their community, a child whose family can provide for itself has an even more secure future.
What happens when my child graduates?
Your sponsorship naturally concludes. At that point, we’d love for you to continue your generosity through the Family Empowerment Fund — your $45 monthly gift could empower an entire family.
Can I still send gifts and letters?
Yes. Continue through the gift catalog and our office; field staff purchase and deliver locally. Please include your child’s full name and ID number with any correspondence.
